Cute And Cuddly Cloud Amigurumi Pattern

This cute and cuddly cloud was a design request from on of my kids for a girl in on their school bus who is in Grade 3.

Notes

This stuffy is crocheted in the amigurumi style. This means that the rounds are worked as a spiral and not joined with a slip stitch (sl st). 

Tension should be tight to avoid holes between stitches. Or you can use a smaller hook.

Total number stitches in a round given at the end of round instructions in parentheses ( ).

Materials

•2oz white yarn, worsted weight, size 4 (I used Red Heart Super Saver acrylic)

•1oz stuffing such as polyester fibers

•12 inches of back and pink yarn for face

•3.25mm (size D) hook, but you can use a bit bigger or smaller -it will affect the finished size

CH chain

SC single crochet

st/sts stitch/stitches

SC2TOG single crochet 2 stitches together

Bumps

A. Smallest

1. CH 2, 6 SC in 2nd CH from hook (6 sts)

2. 2 SC in each st (12 sts)

3. *SC in st, 2 SC in next st* 6 times (18 sts)

4. *SC in 2 sts, 2 SC in next st* 6 times (24 sts)

5. SC in each st. Fasten off

B. Small

1-4. Same as for smallest bump

5-7. SC in each st for 3 round

Join small and smallest bumps through 3 sts (either sew or crochet through both). Fasten off

C. Large

1-4 Same as for smallest bump

5. *SC in 3 sts, 2 SC in next st* 6 times (30 sts)

6-8 SC in each st for 3 rounds

Join to small bump directly opposite the smallest bump (either sew or crochet through both) over 3 sts. Fasten off.

D. Medium

1-5 Same as for large bump

6-7 SC in each st for 2 rounds

Join to large bump directly  opposite the small bump (either sew or crochet through both) over 6 sts.

Body

1-4 Omit any stitches that join the bumps together. SC in each st for 4 rounds (84 sts)

5. *SC2TOG, SC in 12 sts* 6 times (78 sts)

6. *SC2TOG, SC in 11 sts* 6 times  (72 sts)

7. *SC2TOG, SC in 10 sts* 6 times (66 sts)

8. *SC2TOG, SC in 9 sts* 6 times (60 sts)

9 *SC2TOG, SC in 8 sts* 6 times (54 sts)

10. *SC2TOG, SC in 7 sts* 6 times (48 sts)

11. *SC2TOG, SC in 6 sts* 6 times (42 sts)

12. *SC2TOG, SC in 5 sts* 6 times (36 sts)

13. *SC2TOG, SC in 4 sts* 6 times (30 sts)

14. *SC2TOG, SC in 3 sts* 6 times (24 sts). I like to stuff at this point.

15. *SC2TOG, SC in 2 sts* 6 times (18 sts)
