Color Inspiration: Growing Up in the 80's

Born in 1982, I turned 30 in January. The colors of my early childhood are bright, contrasting, and neon. They are the inspiration for this palette.

The three yarn colors from Red Heart yarn are deep purple Amethyst (#0356), Bright Yellow (#0324), and Pretty 'N Pink (#0722). I wonder if this shade of pink is named for the 1986 movie, Pretty in Pink, starring Molly Ringwald?
